The Arboris collection alternates between a fluid and harmonious design and a modern, refined aesthetic, with a strong reference to nature and in particular to wood and tree bark. Our handles and furniture accessories are all crafted strictly in bronze, a hallmark of the F.i.D. line, using casting techniques handed down from antiquity, the same methods once used to forge tools, weapons and armour.

Objects made in bronze using the hand casting technique represent one of the most authentic expressions of artisanal metalworking. It is an ancient process, handed down through the tradition of artistic foundries, that produces pieces of strong material identity and unrepeatable character.

At Fama Design, this technique is applied to the creation of handles, pull handles, knobs and furnishing accessories, transforming functional elements into design objects of sculptural value.

Hand casting involves pouring molten bronze into moulds shaped by hand in sand. This method allows the material to express itself freely, generating living surfaces, natural imperfections and micro-variations that make every piece unique.

Once extracted from the moulds, the pieces are finished, worked and patinated by hand, enhancing the characteristics of the bronze and lending depth, warmth and chromatic nuances that evolve over time.

The result are objects that preserve the primitive force of casting and the sensitivity of artisanal workmanship, where every mark tells of the dialogue between fire, matter and the human hand.
