XAVIER LEBEE COLLECTION

Born in Paris in July 1954, Xavier Lebée is a painter, sculptor, engraver and architect. In June 1995 he founded Interaction Design with the primary intention of creating hardware for frames and decorative objects in bronze, designed directly by Xavier Lebée and other artists and designers from the Parisian worlds of fashion and luxury furnishing.

Objects made in brass using the hand casting technique are born from an ancient artisanal process, in which molten metal meets the natural matter of the mould to give life to unique and unrepeatable forms.

At Fama Design, this technique is applied to the creation of handles, pull handles, knobs and furnishing accessories, transforming functional elements into details of strong aesthetic and material value.

Hand casting involves pouring liquid brass into moulds shaped by hand in sand. This method allows the material to express its full vitality, generating surfaces rich in character, with subtle variations and natural imperfections that bear witness to the authenticity of the artisanal process.

After casting, each piece is finished and worked by hand, through operations of sanding, brushing or patination that exalt the natural luminosity of the brass and enhance its warm, golden nuances.

The result are objects that unite the force of casting with the precision of artisanal workmanship, where every detail tells of the dialogue between fire, matter and the human hand.

Fama Design's brass handles and accessories thus become distinctive elements of interior architecture, capable of conferring upon spaces elegance, personality and the timeless allure of a traditional technique reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
